The project focus is to create a Luxury Spa Resort which compliments and honours its unique location on Lake Khuvsgul, one of 17 ancient lakes in the world being more than 2 million years old. Arrival to the Spa Resort from Morön Airport will be an exhilarating experience whether it is by car, boat from the south of Lake Khuvsgul or helicopter. The 76 Bedroom Luxury Resort will have a palatial Spa of 1.745 sqm at its heart. The 16 Premium Suites are directly connected at the lower levels of the Resort to the Spa. The overall concept of the Resort is to follow the natural topography of the site. The public spaces and bedrooms gently step down ensuring that they all have panoramic views of the lake. The Spa and Suites have the closest and most intimate views.

To render a sense of being engulfed by the nature, the entrance volume opens upwards towards the sky with cascading volumes with green roofs below, framing the scenic view of the lake and the sky in the horizon.

The bar oriented towards the corner facing the lake provides an opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of the lake while relaxing. The two restaurants extend with open terraces and are stacked to create different experiences for different dining spaces. The restaurant on the upper floor hosting Asian fine dining has a more intimate setup while the lower restaurant with it’s view over the infinity pool serves as a casual dining and breakfast space.

The spa has direct connections to the superior and luxury suites on two separate levels. The lower floor of the spa serves as the entrance to the spa with a reflection pool and unhindered view of the lake. The lower floor consists of different treatment rooms segregated between male and female spaces, terminating in a stepping deck as a relaxing lounge space with indoor pools. The upper floor has different spa services while the indoor/outdoor infinity swimming pool oriented towards the lake becomes the main attraction of the whole space.
